Chestnuts are ripe and falling off the trees.Dogwood berries turning red,a few early migrant warblers passing thru.
The Hazel nuts were huge this year, all the rain.Something else also noticed and beat me to them.
Today will most likely be the last hot day, close to 90.Cooler nightime temps in the mid fifties ahead.
Warm fuzzy jammy weather.

I finally got to wear a hoodie comfortably. Sleeping with a blanket instead of just a sheet. All the flower baskets that were hanging from downtown lamp posts have been taken down. The public beach island is closed for the season. Some trees are getting tinges of red. Pumpkin patches. Halloween stuff in stores. And school time again.

Wow, you know you're obsessed with autism when you click on a thread like this and realize you misread the title and it's about autumn. I had to read a couple of posts and was trying to figure out what the color of leaves changing had to do with signs of autism.

Okay, while I'm here:

It's rained for like three days in a row where I am, and it's getting colder. Also, the sun is coming out later in the day which is causing it to be harder for me to wake up in the morning.

Getting cooler here, and I'm glad. I hated the heat and humidity we had in August.

I'm more likely to switch back and forth with the heat/air conditioner in the car--or roll the windows down.
I waffle about taking a jacket in the morning--and have to pay a little more attention to the forecast.
Any morning condensation on windows, cars, and blades of grass takes longer to dry off.
The "new school year" vibe starts to settle down a bit.
The air is a little drier.
We can open the windows to let the fresh air fill up the house.
I see fewer bugs, more large birds (especially geese).
Shadows start to lengthen.
Things seem to sound a little louder.
The breeze gets stronger.
