I joined in 2012, but since then I've mostly just been lurking in the shadows around here. I've been trying to come to terms with my diagnosis for awhile, having been raised with and internalized the mindset that I could "beat" it if I tried hard enough. I have mostly refused all the accommodations I need for years, and now I want to be done with it. I want to love myself and everyone like me, and I could use some community.

Thanks for your input: I hope you'll find some answers and support here. Feel free to post more on the forums and get more involved. We don't need to "beat" it in order to find fulfillment.
