 Just recently saw Tarzan by Disney (had never seen it), and instantly fell in love with Jane, very lovely character design

I've always liked Jane. She's awesome.

I'd marry Fred Flintstone.

For context. The post I put up and then regretted after seeing it in a 2007 thread someone decided to dig up from when W.P. was really weird.

We don't want this to turn into a hangout for "brony" or "neckbeard" culture, 'cause that stuff is disgusting.

Grown men who watch the television program My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic have formed a toxic subculture that quite honestly is unhealthy for them and anyone else unfortunate enough to be their friends. There are vast amounts of Rule 34 (aka pornographic) drawings of the characters; the depravity rampant in the "brony" fandom is not going away any time soon.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying a show for kids--if that were the case a ton of autistic people would be too "immature--" but obsessive fandoms are unhealthy, and obsessive & hyper-sexualized fandoms of a children's show are very unhealthy. I'm afraid that's just another group of people I hold an incredible prejudice against.

And honestly I always thought that having a crush on a nonexistent cartoon character was pretty gross...if that puts some of my own disgust into context. Please, for the love of your sanity, don't go try to find more "context" on the internet for this one. A friend told me about it and I find it repulsive.

I don't know My Little Pony and I certainly wouldn't want to see what you describe.

Thanks for the warning! :eew:

That's why I'm quite happy with no television, a windup Victrola, and a very very very limited list of websites that I actually use.

If there was a way to escape the 21st century I'd do that. See you in 1910.

Many cartoon characters are drawn beautiful and sexy, especially female characters. I'm a cartoonist myself and I've noticed this: Jessica Rabbit, Betty Boop, virtually every Disney Princess... but as Jessica Rabbit herself once said, "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way."

Cartoon characters aren't real. But the fandoms seem unaware of this and make porn of EVERYTHING, and it's freaking disgusting and murders my childhood and poisons my adulthood even further. If someone did that with my own characters it would be like seeing child porn of my own children. I hate fandoms.

I'm normally not majorly into cartoon characters but I've seen some fake pix of Kim Possible & Braceface that were really hot. I never watched either cartoon thou. I also like Hayley from American Dad but I'm kinda into hippies.

Sakura from Cardcaptor

My son wanted to build a robot girl because he was so crazy about Sakura when he wasn't even 10 years old yet. He's now a physicist who lives and breathes machine learning, and has a real-life girlfriend. She might also have asperger's - hardly anybody in the family seems to take to her. Too cold / aloof they say - but I think she's great! Acts a lot like me when I was her age.

i used to be a brony back in the 2012-2013 heyday...though i didn't "fancy" any of the characters. i grew out of it but very slowly, i still have a shirt and a couple fluttershy dolls/figurines

i definitely remember fancying some characters when i was much younger but i can't remember any. it's probably a good thing i didn't watch anime as a kid

i had a thing for sheik (SSBM) but that's not a cartoon.

Glad they had shown 'Heckle & Jeckle' as a part of NBC's Saturday morning cartoon lineup around 1970. Still hilarious after all these years seeing 'Heckle & Jeckle' online.

One thing was left-out of the 'Heckle & Jeckle' cartoons - La Gazza Ladra (The Thieving Magpie): Overture by Rossini LINK: (10 minutes) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJiiBq8UnIY

This thread reminds me of the scene from Wayne's World when they are discussing how sexy Bugs Bunny was when he dressed up as a female rabbit :)

If I were strait I'd probably dig Jessica Rabbit.
