A thread for helping each other find names for their Pokemon! ☆*:.｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆

I'll start: I already know three out or the six Pokemon I'll have for Sun and Moon: Mimikkyu, Popplio's ??? Final Evolution (I'll soft reset until I get a female, so I need a girly name), and Lunala. What would be good names for them?

Not sure why, but I would name Mimikkyu "Scribble".

I rarely name my pokemon, because I am very uncreative with names.

I always nickname my Pokemon.
Back in 2007, I named my Piplup Blueberry; my very first Pokemon in my very first video game.
My current team in X are:
Sakura [Delphox]
Astra [Gardevoir]
Subaru [Gallade; named after the Japanese name for the Pleiades]
Riley [Lucario]
Kohaku [Gyarados; named after Haku/Kohaku from Spirited Away]
Nekote [Meinshao; a pun on neko--Japanese for cat--and karate]

Hmm.. well I decided to take inspiration from TristahK, name Mimikkyu Crayola. (Or Peach, but that would only work for a Mimikkyu dressed up as a Clefairy, and I doubt we can change the costumes...)

Lunala, would either be Sailor Moon (for obvious reasons..) or Princess Luna (from My Little Pony)

If I can get mah hands on that Demo Greninja, I'll name him after Mikey, the Frogadeir my cousin released and killed...

Mystery Mermaid would be just that: Mystery Mermaid. When its about to flip over to Gen 8, we can look back and rerember how we, now, have no idea what their names are, and feel nostalgic about that. Or, Ariel, like the Little Mermaid. It will be a she because I'll soft reset for a girl Popplio.

I couldn't make up my mind on Sailor Moon or Princess Luna for Lunala, so I just combined the two, Sailor Luna!

Here's what I got so far:

Crayola the Mimikkyu
Sailor Luna the Lunala
Mikey the Greninja (even if I don't get the S/M demo in time, I'll have a Greninja on my team)
Leo the Litten (I thought it would fit. Also, this Litten won't evolve.)
The last two will be from other generations.

The girl who will be training all of these Pokemon will be Echo. I can't really work out what her personality would be or what she would look like just yet though.

Edit: I will be using that Mystery Mermaid! The last one will be from another generation!

Hmm...Well, I'll have either a Litten [and not evolve it] or Rowlett [and evolve it completely]; I'll also have Kagepi [Mimikyu], Remus [Lycanroc], Mitsu [Ribombee], Zelda [Tsareena], and Ryuar [Kommo-o].

Right now, I'm thinking once I get Sun and Moon my team is going to be something like this:
Ryu (Lucario) (Mega)
Juliet (Gardevoir)
Marie (Primarina) (Z-Move User)
Aero (Togekiss)
Dusk (Umbreon)
Valory (Mimmikyu)
I'm aiming for this to be my first competitive level team, so it may end up changing a lot depending on what the metagame is like.

That's good! I could help you with competitive battling, I've neen doing it for a year and a half now.

Shall I share an epic story? I once unknowningly went up against someone while playing Pokemon X who had...Zoroark...Garchomp....and Rayquaza. I managed to beat him thanks to Kohaku, my Gyarados.

That is incredible. what was his moveset? Sorry, just curious.

^I can't remember, actually, but I felt so elated at the end. I can only wonder what the person I beat was thinking.
