I only read the first link, and I must say, the writer, Shannon Davies, is a complete idiot. She doesn't even seem to cotton-on that the generation she is talking about were the original hippies and many of them actually still hold the more open minded values of their youth-era's times.

So this amounts to "I have identified a demographic group that tends to disagree with my politics and I am looking for ways to disenfranchise rather than persuade them."

Why don't they just admit they hate democracy and share Trump's "I will respect the system if I win" values?

I haven't heard of any attempts to disenfranchise senior citizens, but ageism is definitely considered a form of bigotry.

I don't like ageism of any kind. There are many types of ageism.
