He will have to actually do something productive, which may be something of a new concept for him. Poor bastard.

you will just have to wait and see.

all the contentious stuff that made him look like a "bad boy" has been moderated since he won.

the "wall" will not be built, but a more comprehensive coverage of the existing border and current wall will be implemented.

muslims will have to be thoroughly investigated before entering the country. not outright banned.

i do not think i ever heard any anti gay sentiments from him or any publicity around him about that.

he is a smart chap it is obvious.
he donned the image that got him the presidency, and now he will divest it somewhat in order to get down to business.

but if he can build a personal empire like he has (with a little help), he is shrewd, and shrewdness is what is sorely needed for the corporation that is america.

i have an inkling that he will eventually be seen as one of americas greatest presidents in the fullness of time.

America isn't a corporation, and running it like one will destroy it. Not that Trump knows how to run a corporation either. He's a con artist.

I have an inkling that in four years we'll be going "Hey, let's not do that again guys."

This is why I don't understand why people are so mad. He isn't going to do what you think he's going to do. He's going to have to give some if he wants to bring everyone together.

He will probably make the wall much higher and add more border security. Probably stop any incoming flights from certain areas which isn't anything any other country wasn't doing during terrorism time- just us like a bunch of idiots.

He's already keeping some of the Obamacare, but will probably bring back competition between companies.

They said he's already focusing on what to do about the job situation.

I like how he says "we" and "us".

I think he will do some great things that this country has been lacking for a long time.

He already tweeted that he really liked the support of the protesters. . I hope he doesn't get too busy to tweet!

Angela, he's going to be way too busy to tweet. Sorry.

Sure thing; you'll even have plenty of time to find shelter from the nuclear fallout all the way over there on that island! :

is "grave" the correct word? maybe more "sober" and "diligent" and concentrating on the task that he imagines must be done.
"grave" connotes pessimism.
i think he will just get to work and work hard on running america like he runs his corporations.
i am not sure he has the intelligence to take on such a task, but surely no one else does.

the ""gravity" comes from one of his speeches about the problems besetting us, and one of his lines, "America is gonna have to get a lot tougher."

So far, he *seems* to have toned things down and struck a conciliatory tone, but only time will tell how sincere he is about that.

We do need to get tougher. Right now we're pansies. Obama isn't even respected - except by maybe Iran, only because he gave them a crapload of money. The last thing I read was that China was yelling at him when he went to visit them and they wouldn't even let him off the plane!

Trump knows how to negotiate and how to frame himself as if he were yelling from inside the confines of a cartoon strip. If you want people to be receptive to your bold proposals, you start off setting up your stall selling lemonade at ten dollars a glass then tone it down to five dollars a glass and then 'relenting' after having commented in the local paper you've listened and Seen The Light and now you're selling at just three dollars a glass.
