Hi I’m Dean. Not formally diagnosed but highly suspected ASD, I was nearly diagnosed as a kid in the 70s but they said I was “too imaginative” and “too smart” to be autistic then. My wife I suspect is high functioning ASD as well, though because of her family background she’s unwilling to admit it.

I have a teen (foster hopefully soon to be adopted) daughter who just was formally diagnosed with high functioning ASD a few weeks ago. So I’ve been thinking a lot about autism spectrum lately and how to help her, and all the issues I’ve faced myself. And the issues my family faces… needless to say people think we’re weird.

I am an indie author of SF and fantasy books with ASD main characters.
Also have a day job in a cubicle filled place.
Just wanted to say hi and find a place to talk and vent and share stuff without being too worried about rambling or being odd.
