I have a BA in Linguistics, but I decided to go back to community college to get a biotech certification. I'm now an intern at a biotech company.

Why would we laugh? I wish I could write better. I did not graduate high school because I could not write very well.

I've had people tell me "Good luck finding a real job!" and "Stop wasting your parents' money!" when I tell them my major. >.>

Follow your passion, most people do not get a career in what they studied in college.

I'm interested to know what other autistic people are majoring in in college. I am a 16-year-old college freshman and I am an Asian Studies major. I wanted to major in Mandarin Chinese but my university doesn't offer it by itself; it is grouped into Asian Studies. :D

Sixteen?! 8O WOW! I wasn't even graduated of highschool by your age! Kudos.
I started college at age 24 I believe...

I feel your pain about mandarin chinese because I had wanted to do Arabic studies with my school but they don't count it. I have taken arabic twice but the class I need for it keeps cancling and no one else signs up...

My majors computer science!

Same as the people who call artists frivolous. Get a real job, dude. Nobody has told me that, but my college professor said that some people actually think artists are "frivolous" when in fact they need to constantly hone their skills and learn about the world around them.
