Earlier this year i had some appointments with someone about this. They described the amount of stimuli you're able to process at once as a cup. When in a loud, busy place, that cups fills up fast. When it overflows, you may have a panic attack, feel uneasy, etcetera. They showed me some things you can do to increase the height of that cup; though i never gave them a try, for reasons that are irrelevent. The things were like massasging your hands, having some weight on your lap when you sit down, lying down on one of those large bouncy balls and doing squats. Just things to stimulate your body. I forgot why it works; i suppose it has something to do with getting used to stimulation. I hope this helps.

The only thing that helped me was a medication.

Medication has helped me a lot I am on Luvox for my stimming and it has also helped with how much overstimulation I can handle. I ran out of my mess a few days ago and it's been terrible.

You're on medication just for stimming? Stimming is usually a harmless behavior. Were your stims harmful or destructive?
