<--- Has all those, plus extreme black & white thinking, extreme focus on narrow subjects, compartmentalizing things, hatred of change, rigid thinking, wears the same things day in and day out.

<--- Relatively easy for him to make friends, but impossible to keep them around.

we probably all have too many to list, but

obsessive categorizing of objects
extreme sensitivity to color variation/emotional reaction to color and color combinations
lack of interest in associations with people outside of my spouse
hate being touched
cant tell when people are lying by what they say, cant negotiate or respond quickly based on others words
but very aware of other peoples emotional psyche, like a sixth sense
eye contact is forced and distracting (easier to listen to someone if not looking at them)
slow processing speed but very intelligent once I have time to process
affinity for animals as they are not as complex as people and are pure, wont let you down
unique personal style, no interest in fitting in
stimming, swinging. several swings in my backyard
only can watch childrens movies or nature documentaries. only no emotion or over-exaggerated emotion, simpler.
good at reading music and composing music, appreciate classical music
focuses on certain textures
strong ethical opinions that make me feel disassociated from society
I can only wear clothing that is 100% comfortable or it distracts me all day
just a few...

"Uhhhh" moments
Violent Thoughts
Most times unable to accept help
Anxiety
Distractable
Communication troubles
A thought process of fighting (that might just fit in with the violent thoughts but lets say it's another)
And a sense of wanting to add to a story.

I don't know if this is a connection, but alot of these are harder to control when I'm stressed or upset.

Mine:

Rocking back and forth (Usually unconscious of it until someone points it out)
Talking too much about a subject AND becoming completely obsessed with things that interest me.
Lack of eye contact (though I force myself to do it because I've been told repeatedly it's rude to look at your computer when you're talking to patients)
Social awkwardness (ESPECIALLY on the phone)
Fidgeting
I don't like being touched if I don't know you, know you
Very sensitive to strong smells
Over explaining things (I just can't get that one. I have to dumb down most things I say at work because people just don't understand what the heck I'm talking about)
Shutting completely down when overloaded (Twice in my life it was so bad I couldn't actually understand what was being said to me.)
Fixed and repetitive routines (For example, I clean my house on Sundays and Sundays only. Do not call and ask to hang out with me on that day. I will be cleaning. :))

I'm most certain I'm forgetting a chunk of things, but that's basically off the top of my head.

This is kind of fun. A chance to freely express my behaviors (hopefully) without criticsm! Here goes:

As a child (ages 5-12):
Emotional attachment to almost any living creature, even insects
Hand-flapping (when I would get very excited)
Correcting classmates' mispronunciations of words out loud while they read aloud in class
Talking to myself during recess while pacing around the athletic field
Literal thinking
Obsessive thinking
Repetitive thinking

As an adolescent (ages 13-18):
Natural affinity for animals (even cats with nasty temperaments)
Using very verbose language
Difficulty socializing with women I was attracted to
Difficulty socializing in-general with my peers
Lack of eye-contact
Driving anxiety
Job anxiety
(Possibly) Solipsist thinking

As an adult (ages 19-23):
More concern for the welfare of animals than that of human beings
"Pigeon" (or as I like to call it, "Rooster") walk (when I'm excited, but it's very subtle - my ex was one of the only people to notice it; probably replaced the hand-flapping)
Making inarticulate high-pitched noises in the back of my throat while rooster walking (even more subtle - I think I'm the only one who's noticed it)
Rocking (may have also replaced the hand-flapping, at least when I'm stationary as opposed to mobile; happens mostly when I'm listening to music)
Unusually rare talent in one particular field (in this instance, music - I have absolute pitch)
Not having many attachments with others, but being very attached to those with whom I have an attachment
Being very indecisive and a slow thinker

That's all I can think of right now.

Actually, there's a little more. Here's a general list of things that are less autistic behaviors that I tend to display:

Reading works of fiction (anything from The Guardians of Ga'Hoole when I was a kid to The Dark Tower as an adult)
Displaying, understanding, and reciprocating a wider range of emotion than is probably the norm for the autistic population
(Nowadays, at least) Understanding figurative language, such as sarcasm and irony in conversation, as well as metaphor and simile in prose (although I still have a pretty hard time with poetry)

And that's all I can think of for NT behaviors (for now).

P.S. I forgot a few ASD behaviors, but thankfully I still had time to edit this original post:
I've always been pretty sensitive to touches (I always had to sit on the right-hand side of a car as a child, because on the left-hand side the seat belt would rub up against my neck in such a way that bothered me, so I would freak out - I have no idea why it didn't do that on the right); nowadays I'm pretty much sensitive to temperatures, esp. water temp. (my shower has to be just the right temperature, which is pretty hot, but not too hot (or as I like to think of it, Caldo ma non troppo - get it? 'Cause I'm a musi-...ah, nevermind).
Never been to sensitive to anything else that I can think of, though...

A. Sweet Quote. Love Dream Theater.
B. With the exception of the hand flapping, you just described the bulk of my youth. :)

Does that include your teenage years, or just up until you were about thirteen or so?
