Absolutely not I did not vote that man.

The greed, arrogance, childish behavior, none of it works for me. I did not vote at all because Bernie Sanders was cheated out of a nomination. My conspiracy theories about that are a whole other topic but simply I am a democratic socialist like him and believe giving power to a 1%er like Trump is very bad.

Men like that do not self regulate. Economics do not trickle down. It is the duty of the common man to hold the successful man to a higher standard. Because that society benefited them so much they owe more to society not to have every exception made for them to not "punish them for success".

With that said I hope the people around him keep his stupidity in check.

Unfortunately, I did. And apparently he's so awful that friends have threatened to never talk to somebody who voted for him. Obviously I screwed up.

^ that sucks, that they aren't talking to you anymore because of a simply vote...but why did you vote for him though?

merely asking.

porcupines are birthed live.

who's to say porcupine mothers aren't secretly trump supporters?

They didn't stop talking to me. I haven't told anyone. I'm thinking of coming out from the basement (the closet is a LGBT thing I don't want to steal it) just to get it over with.

I voted for Trump because something about Clinton just makes me sick, and I really didn't want her to win. I stayed away from mainstream news and tried to see things from all sides, and I just couldn't stand the thought of even indirectly voting for her. And then there's that super condescending autism ad. At least, that's how I felt at the time. I guess I had some bias after all if I was willing to ignore the fact that Trump mocked a disabled reporter and is constantly insulting people who disagree with him, especially women.

I didn't vote for either as I felt they were both despicable. Had I voted, I would have voted democrat. An interesting observation on election day: I was in a Walmart and a person was wearing a t-shirt with gigantic letters on it spelling Trump and wearing a pistol.

I voted for Jill Stein , just like I did in '12 when she ran the first time . I agree with the Green party's 10 Key Values , and supported Stein's Green New Deal agenda . Plus I concluded that both Clinton and Trump were equally corrupt .

No, I was sad that my state went for him as well. But there it is.

I didn't vote for him in the primary, but I did in the general, and every day I am more and more grateful and relieved that he won. The eruption of violence, hysteria, and abuse from the Left since the election has demonstrated that this country was right on the edge of disaster. We're still on the edge, but we've taken one step back. Things are still very dangerous, but I now think there is a chance of recovery, and I can't imagine that anyone else would have been able to take on the Left as he has, and as I hope he will continue to do.

Given everything that has happened since the election, I think if the vote were held again today, Trump would win a second time in a landslide.

Voted for Trump at the time only as the lesser evil, but the conduct of the left since then has made me glad that I did.

:D

So Trump winning is about spiting left wingers, at least you're being honest.

No, because I am not American.

However, if I was American I would have voted for Jill Stein (this was before she exposed herself as a greedy crook little better than Hillary) or wrote in Bernie Sanders. Yes, Bernie was cheated out of the nomination and he would have won the presidency otherwise. I would never vote Republican no matter who is the nominee. I only vote for left-wing parties.

I'd say it's more of a side benefit.

Here's somebody else who voted for Trump:

My Lyft Ride with a Black Trump Supporter on MLK Day

The media narrative on American politics has become so tedious you don’t have to listen anymore. Every story seems to follow a formula, and never more so on than on the Martin Luther King holiday. Every headline proclaims how black Americans are horrified at Trump’s insensitivity to the historical plight of blacks in the civil rights movement. After all, he attacked Rep. John Lewis, which apparently violates some canon of the civic religion.

I had no interest in engaging this debate, but I did call a Lyft car this morning and my driver, a black woman raised in poverty, was very interested in doing so....

“Here it is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and I’m supposed to be all upset that Trump attacked John Lewis, but Trump is right. Lewis said he is not a legitimate president, so yeah Trump got upset. What exactly is Lewis doing to improve the lives of the poor in this town? Nothing. At least Trump has some ideas. He seems to care.”

Ok, now I’m listening.

“I’m glad Lewis marched in the protests so long ago,” she continued, “but you have to do more than march. That’s all these people do is march. Meanwhile, there are sections of Atlanta I’m afraid to drive in. And I say that as a black woman! It’s not even about race. Many blacks in this town live better than white people anywhere in the world. But there’s whole communities that have been forgotten. They are paid off with welfare checks but they don’t have skills or jobs, and they fear for their lives on their own streets.”

She was just getting going, so I wondered how far I could push this. What about Obamacare?

Explosion.

“Don’t get me started. My premiums are through the roof. I can’t afford it. Because I drive all day and night making money, I’m not poor enough to get any subsidies. So this year I’m going to have to pay $750 on my tax return because I can’t afford to buy insurance. But I can’t afford the health care either! And have you seen those deductibles? If anything should happen to you, you go bankrupt. I’ll tell you who benefitted from Obamacare. Not the poor. It’s the insurance companies and the government.”

I didn't vote at all. I really don't think it matters.

Is it just me or are people really more vicious this election?

I'm sorry for the people who voted Trump and lost friends/family over it...it's very childish and it's making us hate each other even more:(

My sister voted for Hilary, and I'm not gonna stop talking to her or shame her for it.

I voted for Trump, not because I like him (I don't) but because it was the only way to stop Hillary. Trump is also a monkey wrench to throw into the machinery of government. I can hardly wait to hear the clashing and crunching of the gears.
