hi, i love geography, i know all the capitals, flags, meaning of flags and i absolutely love geographic maps. i am very happy when i think about that but everyone says me: it's odd. i don't think it is odd, flags are an important form of communication, but at school no one is interested in it.
i have other interests, i really like Sherlock Holmes (my favourite carachter, i read it thousands), Harry Potter and genetic.
does anyone share my interests? do you think it is sooo wired?

sorry about my grammar

i know most of the capitals and most of the flags...but africa trips me up. steadily getting better at it.

i haven't thought about studying the meaning behind flags, though. i think it's cool that you are. i don't think your interests are weird at all, and in fact i love maps so much i made many of my own, of places i have created.

AS Geography (and physics, maths and product design) student here!
When I was younger I'd often take the crayons and little colouring sheets you got in restaurants to keep you occupied, turn them over to the blank side, then start drawing little maps on them. I'd also memorised numerous flags although some trip me up, where they have some striking similarities in either the flag or name...Slovenia and I believe Slovakia are on case of that. I love it when we get the Atlases or map excerpts in lessons. The Ordnance Survey maps are so detailed and precise, plus it can be quite interesting to find the odd "Danger Zone" marked on them.

Also Kiprobalhato, awesome maps! Really detailed, though I did spot one bit missing, contour lines!

I obsessed with Sherlock Holmes and other classic stories (Sherlock always in the first place).

Some people said that it wasn't normal (because they like popular novels).

So, who cares?
Just be yourself. Enjoy your life ☺

Yes, for geography. In my spare time, I would go to Google Maps or Distancefromto.com to calculate distances between cities and to identify capital cities, major cities, and some small towns. I would also study intersections and what they're close to.
