I often seem to have trouble looking out for indie films. Any you like?

Cthulhu.

This is an Indie horror film made in my neck of the woods, the Pacific Northwest. If you are familiar with H.P. Lovecraft, then you will recognize this movie as being based on his short story, The Shadow Over Innsmouth, though with the location changed from New England to the Oregon coast, and is set in the near future rather than the 1930's.
