In-Depth Adult Life Disc. Thread topics often overlooked.
Enclosed are a list of seven older discussion threads on topics in the ‘In-Depth Adult Life Discussion Forum’ (page numbers of threads as of this writing). The older threads are as recent as a few months old, and go as far back as April 2015.
The list of threads seems to invite reassessments, and hence additional responses. Yet, too often, important topics too often “get lost in the shuffle!”
From my own personal experiences with Aspergers, the following discussion threads are difficult to express in written/typed words:
--What’s the Point of Living With Someone? (page 3)
--Doing Basic Tasks (page 3)
--Invalidated by My Autistic Default Behaviors (page 5)
--Very Functional and Very Tired. (page 5)
--Can’t Have Conversations. (page 6)
--Telling a Family Member to Back-off a Bit. (page 6)
--Any Senior/Adult Aspies with Financial Management Issues? (Top of page
Thank-you
ADDENDUM:
Thank-you for the 'Cool' smilie icon!
The last two discussion threads (from my own personal experiences) especially "hit the nail on the head" so to speak!
--Telling a Family Member to Back-off a Bit. (page 6)
--Any Senior/Adult Aspies with Financial Management Issues? (Top of page
Anybody feel they can contribute to, and hence "bump-up" any of these seven discussion threads?
Thank-you
Hello,
Basically, there is no specific criteria that went into deciding what discussion threads to list. Simply put, concerns important to Aspergers, too often "get lost in the shuffle," and hence important discussions on WrongPlanet can remain dormant anywhere from a few months to a couple of years.
From my own personal experience, I often find important content in the older discussion threads. I prefer to contribute to existing discussion threads rather than being the first to start new threads.
In short, the list of discussion threads is from my perspectives; that is it is unnecessary to view (and overanalyze) the list as some type of absolute indicator. That's it!
I had contributed to one of the listed discussion threads, as the topics involved strongly relates to my concerns.
Rereading the main post, ADDENDUM, and this post can further clarify context!
Thank-you

Thank-you
I had bumped-up the following posts.
--Doing Basic Tasks.
--Telling a Family Member to Back-off a Bit.
--Any Senior/Adult Aspies with Financial Management Issues?
To boost discussions on these three concerns (amongst many concerns) alone might just be quite helpful!
The threads are in the ‘In-Depth Adult Life Discussion' Forum. I had already "bumped up" the following threads that remain on 'Page 1' (due to no follow-up responses as of this writing) in the ‘In-Depth Adult Life Discussion' Forum.
--Telling a Family Member to Back-off a Bit.
--Any Senior/Adult Aspies with Financial Management Issues?
The 'Doing Basic Tasks' discussion thread has received some responses.
The following threads have not been bumped-up (as of this writing):
--What’s the Point of Living With Someone? (page 3 or 4 of Forum)
--Invalidated by My Autistic Default Behaviors (page 5 or 6 of Forum)
--Very Functional and Very Tired. (page 5 or 6 of Forum)
--Can’t Have Conversations. (page 6 or 7 of Forum)
Thank-you for your response!
Ah, OK, I get it now. Thanks! So strange a search didn't bring them up!

The 'Adult Life Overload' thread definitely needs to be highlighted.
Thank-you to those for bumping-up this topic thread that has been (too) quiet from October 2015 to January 2017.

It seems to be forum etiquette here not to revive old threads, since doing so results in the inattentive giving advice to members who left years ago. Why not post your own thread, asking questions about the issues you found interesting in the ones you listed, Here? You are much more likely to get feedback that way.
Yes, that is a good point to be mindful of forum etiquette.
Just as in "the world at large," important things can "get lost in the shuffle," it is what it is. I feel (and likely many other feel) that there is that "wisdom of sorts" in rediscovering important things (Yes, some things are best left forgotten, important wisdom here too).
More often than not, I (and many of us) find no mention, or very little mention of important topics; hence the need for new discussion threads.
