So, I am going to do the unthinkable, I am changing employment. Still a customer service role, but a more technical one. Also, I was referred to it by a former coworker who knows how weird I am, so I hope the new place is autism- and weirdness-friendly. My question is what to do to succeed in a new position, especially since after 6 years in the position before, I was allowed to get away with a few strange things (like bring my plushies and speak with them and cuddle them, use regional language, things like that) and will have to dial that down to NT compatible levels again.

I'd stay quiet, observe your surroundings, and try not to be any weirder than anyone else. Isolate who in your new environment stands out and then be more normal than that person. Sometimes that's easy and other times it's a tall order.
