Looks like a lot of that went to the Windy City which is Obama's hometown. Something tells me he probably got a kickback.

"Even after he moved to Washington, Obama remained loyal to his Chicago roots."

I don’t blame him, most people would take care of their home first.
I’d bet they both had accountants claim the charity deductions on their taxes.
Anyway,nice that they gave.

Then you should be for Trump because he wants to take care of his home first too - AMERICA FIRST!

He doesn't want to take care of it like I think he should.Hes gutting out national monuments, removes us from the Paris Accord, denies climate change,etc..I wanted Bernie to take care of America.

It don't seem that Trump cult is able to understanding our arguments and values.

Ironically, rednecks smoke the stuff as well as search up free porn despite claiming they are "ruhpubluhken". They don't realize they are voting against their own interests. It's also funny how they say they hate "Mexuhkuns" when that marijuana they smoke most likely came from Mexico.

I guess you haven't figured it out yet, but most of the people on this site smoke marijuana and want to legalize it. I don't think they are all rednecks. Some are probably "outsiders".

I am against legalizing marijuana.

I never denied that non-rednecks can smoke it. I just pointed out how stupid rednecks are. Get some logic already.

And that's only because you can't think for yourself.

I suggest you be quiet and stop putting people down - including me because I am not going to put up with that crap. I know exactly why no one wants to be around you - it's the way you talk to people. My logic is telling me to have nothing to do with you. Unless you have something decent to say that does not include put-downs, then do not speak to me and expect any answers.

I actually have friends on this site who agree with me, thank you very much. You should look in a mirror before making assumptions and telling others how to live.

sorry to derail this with childish interjection, but what is the origin of the word "redneck" as applied to the people it is applied to.
i know i can google the question, but i want to speculate and see it i can solve it before i find out.

ok. some famous guy who's name i forget who wrote some best sellers about "body language", mentioned that if someone starts rubbing the back of their neck, they are becoming exasperated.
so if someone is often exasperated, then maybe they rub the backs of their necks so often, it results in a redness of sorts. maybe it is also alluding to the idea that perpetually exasperated people are simpletons who constantly encounter obstacles they can not solve.

maybe another idea of it may be that they are white men in "injun" territory where they are prone to sunburn or something (although they did wear wide brimmed hats)

anyway, i will not look it up yet.

googling stuff all the time is cheating i reckon.
once upon a time in the pub, when you knew s**t loads of facts, you were seen as smart, where as now they think you just googled stuff to talk about that night.

anyway.....i like trump.

he really knows how to wrap america around his little finger.

everything he says goes viral shortly thereafter.

many people are eager to await the next hilarious gaffe.

it is a reality TV show that commands the attention of most of the world.

that's how he wants it.

Crap!

LINDSEY GRAHAM IS CALLING FOR AMERICANS TO MOVE OUT OF KOREA

Senator: It's time for US military families to leave SKorea

WASHINGTON – Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday that he believes it's time to start moving the families of American military personnel out of South Korea as North Korea pushes the U.S. closer to a military conflict.

Graham, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said he will also urge the Pentagon not to send any more dependents to South Korea.

"It's crazy to send spouses and children to South Korea, given the provocation of North Korea. South Korea should be an unaccompanied tour," the South Carolina Republican said on CBS' "Face the Nation." ''So, I want them to stop sending dependents, and I think it's now time to start moving American dependents out of South Korea."

About 28,500 U.S. troops are stationed in South Korea to deter potential aggression from the North.

Last week, North Korea shattered 2½ months of relative quiet by firing off an intercontinental ballistic missile that some observers say showed the reclusive country's ability to strike the U.S. East Coast. It was North Korea's most powerful weapons test yet.

The launch was a message of defiance to President Donald Trump's administration, which a week earlier had restored North Korea to a U.S. list of terror sponsors. It also hurt nascent diplomatic efforts and raised fears of a pre-emptive U.S. strike. Threats traded by Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un have further stoked fears of war.

Graham expressed confidence in the Trump administration's ability to manage the growing conflict with North Korea.

"He's got the best national security team of anybody I have seen since I have been in Washington," said Graham, who has served in Congress since 1995.

The Trump administration has vowed to deny North Korea the capability of striking the U.S. homeland with a nuclear-tipped missile.

Denial means pre-emptive war as a last resort. The pre-emption is becoming more likely as their technology matures," Graham told CBS. "I think we're really running out of time. The Chinese are trying, but ineffectively. If there's an underground nuclear test, then you need to get ready for a very serious response by the United States."

Trump has said he spoke with Chinese President Xi Jinping about Pyongyang's "provocative actions," and he vowed that additional major sanctions will be imposed on North Korea. China is North Korea's only significant ally, but it has grown increasingly frustrated over the North's nuclear and missile tests that have brought a threat of war and chaos to China's northeastern border.

I think the statement that China is growing increasingly frustrated with NK is really good news. I think it's one thing to Kim that he's pissing off the US, but maybe another if he knows he's pissing off China. China could easily cut off NK and possibly could also roll in, squash Kim like a grape and take over. Maybe Kim will be stupid/crazy enough to threaten to launch a nuke at China next.

i guess it comes from a tendency to wear tank top shirts while working out in the fields, in the daytime sun when they’re bent over the back of their neck is exposed, becoming sunburnt and turning red.

maybe.

yeah so i had to google "tank top" to see that it is what we call "singlets" in australia.

i checked the etymological dictionary and still found only theories of it's origin.

there could be so many invectives involved in it's coinage.

there is a term called "hot under the collar" which connotes festering anger.
the propensity for modern rednecks to wear baseball caps with the visor facing foreward may have something to do with it.

i don't clearly know what "redneck" refers to.

there is another term called "yokel" which i imagine may be related.
