This isn't exactly bizarre or eccentric, but I think no one would expect someone my age to listen to Richard Wagner. But I rarely listen to music.

Well I listen to pretty much all types of metal and some of that is rather eccentric...but aside from that I suppose folk music specifically Wardruna and a the solo project of the lead musician of korpiklaani called Jonne I am likely to look more into this sort of thing. Of course folk metal is weird to some people, but without the metal its just as intriguing at least I think so...I also find various instruments interesting so bands that use lots of different kinds are enjoyable for me.

This is par for the course for me but it would probably do a lot of people's heads in.

Some examples of things I listen to people may find unusual.

I like those ironically bad Youtube remixes and mashups, like Spongeloid:

I'm also pretty addicted to We Are Number One remixes, this one's my favorite:

Also some random mashups:

I listen to a lot of opera. Most people are not subtle about their thinking that that's weird. I certainly don't think so.

I really love Outsider Music. Artists like

Daniel Johnston
Wesley Willis
Jandek
Wild Man Fischer
The Shaggs

s**t like that. Artists who really don't have musical talent but are earnest and honest in their art form and just like making music because they like making it, regardless of their lack of musical skill.

the "weirdest" music i like? harsh noise, onkyo-kei, electroacoustic improvisation, ethiopian jazz-funk, drone, throat-singing, musique concrete, hypnagogic pop, free jazz, zeuhl, krautrock, bubblegum bass.
avant-garde and obscure music is my special interest. a harsh noise artist, merzbow. an onkyo-kei artist, sachiko m. an electroacoustic artist, karlheinz stockhausen.
my favorite genres, in general, are minimal synth, post-hardcore, harsh noise, EAI, and synthpop.

some people loathe noise music because it's "just noise," to them. my boyfriend, who also has autism, cannot stand noise music, as it triggers sensory overload for him; however, i find the noise relaxing, even often experiencing an ASMR effect from it.

I don't really listen to anything more "bizarre" or "eccentric" than Captain Beefheart.
