Daaamn! No wonder our society is so screwy!

People favour left or right wing ideas for no reason other than they belong to a left or right wing group. They should think independently rather than blindly following their "tribe".
Agreed. It is insane.
And it hasn't changed in two thousand years!

That's funny! LoL Yet, sadly true. There was a time when I didn't like being me because it meant being hated by everyone. However, to be like those people would be even worse. I've come to appreciate who I am and that I'm an individual.
I still feel hated by everyone, not for my independant political views but for my lack of achievement. I'm trying to appreciate who I am as an individual, rather than someone who failed at realising the same achievements as other people (graduate university, buy house, etc).

I don't feel particularly hated by anyone anymore but I do try to minimize my interactions with people in the real world to keep that down. I do often see myself being treated worse by people than they would treat others however. I have failed at all those same achievements as well. Just existing is an achievement some days. Unfortunately that doesn't count in the eyes of most people.

Nowadays I am far left, especially economically. But it's just a rule of thumb which shouldn't be taken too literally since I don't fit so neatly into any particular ideology. Generally I support reducing the concentration of power on all levels based on the stake that we as a people have in it rather than being based on the notion of meritocracy. At this point, I'm simply too cynical to believe in it as a system since it seems to have far too many flaws.

Mid right,,, but apparently my political compass test put me at just left of center and a bit authoritarian and my Polish BF was less left than he thought though far libertarian.
Though it made sense, my fiscal belief is my hardest right next to my nationalism, but otherwise I do worry about humans in a general way.

I put myself as "left" because I support left-wing policies. My honest feeling, though, is that a healthy society needs a balance of socialism and capitalism. It's just that capital can look after itself pretty damn well without our help, thank you. It can survive anything up to and including the Cultural Revolution.

"Far right" seems to be a minority here. So why do I always see right-wing trolls whining about "the problem of SJWs?" [obvious flamebait is obvious]

I don't know. Maybe I'll say "far-right", but that's more just because of my nationalist tendencies, and my desire for some traditionalist order. I think that there are some good points to that.

I'm somewhere on the far-left. If I had to describe it I might go with Chomsky's term "Libertarian Socialist". I'm not quite an anarchist, as I believe the state should be maintained at a strong enough level until the power of corporations and capital are eliminated. In America you might call this sort of thing "Big Government", as I believe that until the capitalist system is dismantled the state will be necessary as a power base for a transitionary socialist government to break up corporate monopolies that are currently preventing any move to the left. I support socialised healthcare, free college, and implementing a basic income over current welfare systems.
I oppose private capital in it's entirety. What I refer to as private capital is the interconnected system of commercial banks, private equity firms, investment banks and financial services companies which the rich use to concentrate further wealth and power on themselves.
