Where can you test a VR headset?

I'm hoping to get one sometime this year. Leaning towards the Oculus Rift after watching reviews, mostly due to it being lightweight and the supposed sharper optics. Reviewers also say to give a test run before committing to purchasing one.

But I've yet to come across a Rift or Vibe in a retail store. Where can I go to demo these units? Best Buy? Gamestop?

I'll just have to close my eyes and imagine how great VR is. Sigh...
