I certainly prefer android, for one their products are a little more cost friendly and seems to work just as effectively. Also apple seems more delicate, like it would be easier to accidentally break or damage one of their phones or ipads than it would be with android.

Not to mention android seems a bit more consistent seems like people with apple have to upgrade their phone and things like that a lot more often. Plus I think its terrible what they did with the headphone jack...lol you can either charge your phone or listen to music.

Well unless you have those pesky wireless headphones or are connecting to a wireless stereo device with bluetooth. But then once you lose the wireless headphones that don't even have a connector string or a part to go around your ear to keep it just falling out...you have to buy more.

Both equally, for me.

I don't buy Apple devices, simply because they cost so much. But I do like them a lot.

We have an iPad 2 that I won not long after they were first released. It's a great device that is still going strong many years later - it's now been passed on to my daughter and has been loaded with a ridiculous number of apps that still run very well.

That said, I've never had an issue with Android either and have always been very happy with my Android devices. I buy Android smartphones as they present me with cheaper options, and I don't like to spend a lot on my tech unless I need something more specialist.

I tend to not like Apple, for many of the reasons you said. They're too fragile and too costly for what yo get. The other thing I don't like about Apple is how proprietary they are, everything must come from Apple or it probably won't be compatible. This applies to computers more but Apple is very restrictive when it comes to accessories and customization.

Even though I currently have a Windows phone (never again) I prefer android.

True, and I like windows for computers alright, but I don't think I'd like it on my phone.

The biggest problem is the lack of apps. Too often companies only release apps for android or apple so there are a lot of apps I can't get.

Android. I'm currenty running Marshmallow on a Motorola Moto G4, which is probably the 'purest' version of Android out of all phones.

I've had Apple stuff in the past, and I relly can't say that I'm a fan of them at all due to the fact that their hardware is expensive, over rated, expensive, and that the Apple 'universe' is essentially a gilded jail.

I like my hardware like my software, as open, and free from all attachments from the provider as possible.

Blackberry. I just can't stand not having a physical keyboard, it slows down my typing and produces too many errors. I like tactile buttons. It also gets security updates, something which is a problem in the Android ecosystem.

As one guy said to me on the topic....

If you want something that always works, go with Apple.

If you want the freedom to customize, go with Android.

I'm a mobile developer, so I use both Apple and Android. iPhone has been my main device for years, but I'm considering switching to Android for my main personal device. As a developer, I much prefer Android.

Apple feels too much like you're paying more for the brand. I don't go after brands to show off wealth cause it's a deluded capitalism sentiment. Like you're not better than me cause you have more expensive things, you're just an idiot for spending more money on something s**t when you can buy something equally as good or better for less money and in turn have more money for other things...

I prefer android partly because I need a phone with a physical keypad. I'm still using the droid4 for that reason. I like the fact that android is more customizable. Also when the iPhone came out lots of people complained about how the phone s#cked for making phone calls.

I hate Android because it's almost entirely based on Java. Java is a terrible programming language for embedded systems because of its garbage collection, JIT compilation, and OOP style, which make apps use much more memory and battery life than they should. The only thing Android has going for it is that it's free and open source, and hence more widely available, whereas iOS is proprietary and can only be used on Apple devices.
