I'm hurting. My son has autism and my father has Asperger's.

I'm hurting bad today. Since my mother passed away I feel like I have no parents. Yet my father is alive and healthy. He just shows no interest. My son has autism-high functioning and he's going through a tough time. Anybody here have both a parent and a child on the spectrum?
