I know that posts disappear for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it seems obvious, and if a post disappears quickly it probably means that the poster deleted it. However, just this weekend, it seems like a lot of posts vaporized all together. I found the experience a little surreal. Sometimes, it takes a while to formulate the correct response to a post, and they don't always fall into the topics one would expect. I know I'll spend a little time looking around, but when lots of posts disappear without any discernible pattern, it shifts things around in a way that disrupts my mental map.
An advisory might help. I don't know if this catches anyone else off guard; if not, I can get over it.
