Hi , I'm TJ , a 24 year old female from Ohio. I usually don't like posting on forums because they make me extra anxious for some reason , so this is kind of a big deal to me .

I just want to talk to people who can understand what i go through on a daily basis. My only friend in the world is my girlfriend and she understands because her brother is also autistic. I would like to meet new people but I'm one of the most antisocial beings ever

I once knew a neurotypical female called T.J. when I was studying for college down in Ayr. She once said to me: "I love you because you are so cool."

This is greatly encouraging to me, as I am "Aspie" and able to make friends with warmth, charm, intelligence, and memory. I am in touch on facebook with a few students I knew on the campus during my college days.

Dear TJ,

Thanks for coming forward and sharing your experience. Personally, I know how bad anxiety can be and I don't particularly care for most forums and I don't do any social media. I can definitely relate. I go through many periods where I don't want to go anywhere and I will literally try to get lost in the wilderness/desert. Having a family, I'm limited in how far I can hide, but I seek solitude every chance I get.

However, I find this forum a safer place and it's refreshing to meet people who have the same challenges. It's also inspiring to hear about the triumphs of many of this forum's members.
