School mistakes 'water wigglies' for sex toys, suspends girl

Quote:
After getting permission from her homeroom teacher, the 12-year-old began selling them at the school after reading online they’re good for children with autism, she told local NBC affiliate TMJ.

But the school’s principal allegedly pulled her out of a basketball game to yell at her for selling what she said were sex toys.

“I just learned something I shouldn’t have,” she told the news channel.

lol I saw that on my feed.

I'd like to tell myself that they knew what they are and getting attention for ulterior motives but the existential crisis is screaming "stupid people" at me.

There's a big difference between a water wiggly and a dildo.

I can see why the principal did it. I would have done the same thing myself. You don't go to school, ESPECIALLY a church run school by the LCMS, to sell something in-class, unless it glorifies God. The one thing I have learned from LCMS primary and secondary schools is you get a good education and they work the kiddies so hard that they don't have time for much of anything else, except to sleep.

Besides, this church and school are in the Southeastern Wisconsin District. If that district is anything like the Northern Illinois district, they're quite puritanical (like myself)

She should have been counseled, not yelled at.

She, obviously, didn't know they were sex toys.

That's not how you teach principles; that's how you turn people off to principles.

Think: logical complement of a dildo.
