Culture is an incredibly complex, nebulous subject that encompasses multiple different elements of a society. While I would agree that certain systems of values and morals are more egalitarian, inclusive, and overall progressive, I think it's kind of ridiculous and black-and-white to say that every single aspect of one culture is inherently superior to another.

I've never seen any migrants sh*tting in public.

If half of India doesn't use toilets, it's because they don't have access to toilets due to extreme poverty.

Yet this loudmouth says they sh*t in public because it's a part of their culture. He is wrong.

As for those bathroom signs, yes they have squat toilets in other countries but having a squat toilet isn't the same as having no toilet.

There's even squat toilets in Europe. I've used one. It takes getting used to.....

Isn't Europe the home of the western culture the dude in the video says is better? I suppose there could be a lot of backwards things in Europe.

I would say order is the way of measuring the success of a culture. The less violence within the culture and the more order the more successful.

You sometimes have backwards mindsets in America, frankly.

If you are talking to me. With my idea America is not that high on my list of successful cultures. I would have a problem with looking at America as a whole though, because in my opinion my country is a country of many cultures trying to do the best for the most of them and sadly sometimes at the cost of others.

I would never paint a whole country with one stroke. Especially if I've never been to the country.

We have great, enlightened genius in America. We also have ignoramuses. I've met both types. Even in a "liberal, enlightened, sophisticated, etc." place like New York City.

The same with a place like Nigeria, which has a corrupt reputation. If one would paint Nigeria with one stroke, one would say that most Nigerians are corrupt scammers.

However, I've read, in many places, that most Nigerians actually abhor corruption, and would rather live honestly on their 1 or 2 bucks a day than to engage in any corrupt practices.

They have some cool stuff in America, and in Europe, and in India but no country is without flaws. I think most people realise that but not the arrogent loudmouth in the video.

Some cultures are backwards. Look at Saudi Arabia or Iran.

Multiculturalism and cultural relativism are cancer.

Multiculturalism keeps us from remaining ignorant.

Cultural relativism is not necessarily moral relativism.

The way this guy talks is really annoying. And the video is so biased, and too simplistic.

In a pure estate, I believe every culture develops to better of its own... but there isn't any pure culture anymore (few exceptions), so all them suffer with interferences, and as they had different values and levels of developments (which isn't by itself a sign of value) they face a series of struggles.

Western wasn't always a land of tolerance, hygiene and paid labor. It still isn't.

The main issue with western slavery (during colonial era) was actually the fact that it created a very complex system where the slaves weren't just the working force but a product itself that sustain the economy, and it got a global scale. So it's really different to compare it with other kind of slavery (although obviously all of them are bad, but in some societies the concept of paid labor didn't exist yet, and maybe if they were isolated and had a different kind of mindset it could work pretty well).
