Rather stressful day, but managed to keep it together - just.

What happened, Raleigh?

I just got up so I did nothing but I posted what I believe so I guess that's something.

I'm on Part 2 of my book!

I made my birthday cake, now I just need to add a few details tomorrow. I made it with a log texture and also made a few meringue mushrooms. It doesn't look perfect but everything is tasting good and I'm proud of it because I'm not really good with decorating.

Colour on dining room walls.

All in all, a pretty good weekend so far. I had a good tennis lesson yesterday. I am surprised how well I did considering I was off the court for three months. I will never be a professional, of course (only picked up a racquet for the first time at age 50), but maybe one day I can meet my favorite players. I hope Rafa, Roger and Denis will still be playing so I can meet them. I particularly want to meet Istomin and write his life story. It is a great story and should be told. He is inspiring to me.

Scraped paint off the ceiling instead of hanging myself from it.

Scraped more ceiling and the door frames and fretwork.
Sanded door frames and fretwork.
Sanded shelf.
Cut laminex for benchtop.
Cleaned up all the paint scrapings and sawdust.
Washed all my dropcloths, dried and folded them.
Mopped the floor 4 times.
Cleaned dust off all surfaces.
