Mark topic read doesn't mark previously visited topics

Just that.. it's really annoying, the only way to get a topic you've previously visited marked as read is to revisit it, even if you've lost interest!

System: Windows 10 Pro
Browser: Opera (current)

I've just come to accept that this forum feature just does not work properly. There are topics where I've only read one page, yet the whole topic is marked read, and there are topics in which I've read everything, yet it's marked unread.

Was just going to post about this in a new topic, then found this thread. For some forums, marked read works. Like Members Only. But the majority don't work. It's confusing because days apart I'll read the same thing.

Can this be fixed please?
