It is hard enough being Gay and living in a foreign country, but I have learned to enjoy the challenges rather than be defeated by them. Going to the supermarket is just as challenging as walking into a bar for me.

Forgive me for asking, but what does one's sexual orientation have to do with going to the grocery store?

It was about the social anxiety aspect of the condition.....self-image, feelings of judgement, how to react when spoken to, interpreting facial expressions of strangers, trying not to take things personally and to heart.
