While trying to register an account using https, the reCAPTCHA applet didn't load and I had to switch to http.

Additionally, I'd like to suggest that https should be the default instead of http if it isn't difficult or a problem to make the switch. Coming from Google it's just http. Average users may come to this site and see the "not a secure connection" type warnings and leave immediately thinking it's a scam/virus/etc. and not knowing they can just type in https to make it secure.

Thanks for creating and maintaining this site!

Not sure how this stuff works. I tried typing 'https:\\' before continuing with the WP address, but when I hit 'Enter' the site address still came up without it.

I've subsequently installed the 'HTTPS Everywhere' extension to my Chrome browser, and after ticking the Wrongplanet box, found that https is now enabled in the address bar. However the WP box comes under 'Experimental Rules' and there's a notice that this 'may cause warnings or breakages'. There's also a reference to 'broken MCB', whatever that means.

Update

Embedded YouTube videos don't show up for me when 'HTTPS Everywhere' is used for WP, in both the Google Chrome and Firefox browsers. No other issues detected so far...
