I was in a very open and trusting state of mind when I made my username and it contains personal info. Can there be an exception to changing it. If not, what recourse do I have? I was hoping to not have to close this account and start a new one if possible.

I don't think there is a way it can be changed so you'd probably have to create a new account. I'd wait till a mod replies thou before doing it. Having multiple accounts is against the rules so a mod would probably want to ban your current account.
