Eating gluten free while not at home
When I eat modern genetically modified foods that have had foreign DNA placed into them I feel terrible.
Cross breeding doesn't seem to affect me. It's the recent methods of genetic modification that do.
You can find an article by a former GMO scientist here explaining why he's now warning people of the dangers:

Here's a study done on rats that shows damage to the intestinal system by GMO corn:

The crops being genetically modified in the modern method where foreign DNA is inserted is so they can withstand being sprayed by chemical fertilizers and pesticides. It produces more food so the big farm corporations make more profit, however it is not better food, it's not even equally good food, it's inferior.
The United Nations has stated that pesticides are a human rights concern.

I have a few good go-to items that make this easy, I'm gluten-free and vegan, which seems like it would be impossible while out, but it's really very easy. If in doubt, there's always fruit if I need something sweet on the go, nuts if I need protein. Smoothie bars make very good options. And if I need a meal while I'm out, Asian places are usually much easier than others to find something gluten-free.
