This might just be a psychosomatic procrastination reaction, but whenever I try to focus on something I don't want to do and it takes longer than a few minutes, I start becoming really aware of the physical aches and discomfort in my body until they seem much worse than they actually are. I immediately then want to distract myself with something that calms me down, but then I've broken my focus and I have to start again. Advil and Tiger balm (and related substances) don't seem to do much. Neither does stretching and massaging. It does get worse when I excersize, but it's still there when I don't. It's definitely not as bad with mind altering substances like alcohol, though I don't use them regularly at all. Is this a thing anyone has had to deal with or has recommendations for?
