Has anyone been asked to fill out a W9 for your child who received a one-time scholarship for first year of college?
What info do you give?
Please help, thanks :)

I haven't filled one out for that purpose, but the form is generally used to provide information needed for IRS reporting: legal name, social security number, and current address. That said, I'm not positive but I don't think scholarships are usually subject to IRS information reporting, so you may want to ask them why they need the form.
