That coat of arms resembles that of the Russian Empire.

It *is* that of the Russian Empire. When I bought the hat, I had my choice of pin for the front. With one exception, they were all from the old Soviet Military. And no way I was going to wear a commie symbol. The one exception was the old Imperial Russian Double Eagle. So that's what I got.
Good for you.

You look like a villain from a film noir.

I prefer not to wear them. I don't want to flatten my hair.

I used to see him on the street when I was a kid. Often played a bad guy. When we saw him in a movie, we would say, "there's Frank" Local celebrety, a bit like Geoffrey Rush now.

btw - I nearly went a whole day w/o posting. Its werbert's fault. :P At least I resisted the temptation to post in the "Addictions" topic.

I've been addicted to hats my whole
life. Pretty much never go out without
one. I have a topper, a number of
fedoras, a few straw boaters, a bunch
of military caps (including a rebel
mock up, that I wear much of the time),
a gaucho, a full sombrero, some berets,
a bunch of helmets - the list goes on.

Almost picked up an authentic bicorn,
but I was afraid to find out how much.

I'm sorry, but I don't like hats on myself or other people. It really bothers me for some reason.

Although I have to admit the pics of Xenon wearing hats are pretty amusing.

I always wear a hat. They protect my eyes from overhead light.

Right now I'm wearing one of my four woolies. It's getting pretty cold here in Chile, as the winter is coming.

I can honestly say I have never heard of Frank Thring. Actually, I think Xenon looks like Alfred Hitchcock with a goatee. Or maybe Dom DeLuise.

I don't wear hats when I can help it. I don't look good in them.
