It is too easy for me to get wrapped up in my life's problems and what leads me into addictive behaviors when the only people I hang with are other recovering addicts, and I have very little in common with most of them than recovery from addiction.

Where do I find other guys who like watching anime? Or who are Vocaloid fanatics? Or who like reading classic or modern literature? The thing is I want to find people with similar interests. Not looking for people to completely open my heart up to, but if I can find other guys IRL with similar tastes, I would have plenty to talk about with them that would be cool and completely non-dramatic.

I may be a diagnosed Aspie, but I also am extroverted. What a paradox that is.

Try meetup.com. They have groups for all kinds of interests. I'm into writing and found a writing group there about a year and a half ago and am still going; it's really improved my life and they're some of my best friends! It's really hit-or-miss though. I've been to four other groups and didn't stick with any of those.
