OK, I don't need a label, but for the sake of it, what label is closest to me?

Here are my views:

I personally hate abortion, but I think it should be left for the states to deal with. I don't understand why some women think they can kill their own unborn. Unfortunately, I'm kind of starting to believe that most pro-abortion people actually do deny the moral dimension of abortion. I err on the side of conservatives.

I think LGBTQ+ people should allow to marry, even in all states.

I support moderate or even high taxes. Don't know much about the economics on this one, but there are some good services that use tax dollars. I think the problem is with scope and corruption at the federal level.

I support firearm licenses.

Try the "world's smallest political quiz," which I linked in the first post here:

viewtopic.php?t=303548

You can do it in less than 60 seconds -- let us know what you get.

That quiz seems a little biased. It seems that the creators of it thought in terms of absolutes instead of gray shades.

Socially liberal on same sex marriage, but socially conservative on abortion.

You believe the government does do some things right, but that we have to pay for it via taxes. I would call that "being a realist'. So you're fiscally conservative, but with liberal leanings about the role of government in helping society.

What is it all add up to? "Middle of road", maybe.

There's no need for you to apologize ... I do very much appreciate your courtesy in being willing to.
It's just that if you were to do some research and learn more about economics,
you might reach a different view.
To form an opinion without understanding ... ?

You sound like a liberal.

You can disagree with liberals on a few issues and still be a liberal.

"The World's Smallest Political Quiz" is a bunch of right-libertarian nonsense. Disregard it.

This test seems to be at least slightly better I think https://www.politicalcompass.org/test
