So when my therapist was doing my trauma assessment, she asked me if I wanted to consider what happened to me as sexual abuse or rape, one of the two.
I was confused because I didn't think it would have been able to be considered rape at all.
Then, I researched the exact legal definition of rape:
“The penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim.”
