I am technically not a new member but it's been years since I posted anything. I'm nearly 24 I was diagnosed with Asperger's at age 12. I was also diagnosed with ADD. Having a social AND learning disability is excruciatingly difficult for me. I can't excel in any area of life. My parents are in complete denial that my life is/will be more difficult than a normal person's life. My dad has Asperger's and had an amazing career but he's also an academic genius. My mom is just terrible at facing reality. Anyways, I came back to these forums because I have been struggling a lot lately with my Asperger's and I thought it would be nice to talk to people who can actually give me advice they didn't get from internet searches or books on autism.
