I think this is what he will be impeached on. He'll keep the tapes because he views them as his ... and why should he destroy something that is his. And the tapes will come out. I wonder if he will go quietly.

So now known are supposedly the existence of 'Comey's notes', congress wants them turned over by the 24th.

Also this alleged memo about Flynn was from February and Comey made no mention of it when he later testified in front of congress. It would be really interesting to see his memos from the Hillary Clinton interview.

Nah, he'll probably put out a lot of fanfare when he leaves office in 2025, after Mike Pence gets sworn in as the 46th potus (with Donald Trump Jr as VP). Gold plated helicopter and all that, whisking him off to his new hotel casino mega-resort in Moscow.

Prior to 2016 I would have said allegations of leaking clsssified info to the Russians, "asking" the head of the F.B.I. to stop an investigation, and threating him with tapes would have meant said President would be out of office within a week and no pardon given to him by any successor.

Now any Republican knows that if he or she votes to remove Trump they are going to face at best a serious primary challenge. And they are getting thier policies passed and are going to get their Supreme Court justices and their person to run the 2020 census The democrates do not have the votes.

If the Trump loyal supporters do turn on him it will not have anything to do with these scandals, they just harden thier desire to fight the elites of the deep state. It will be the Health care system ruining thier lives. During Watergate there was a combination of inflation, recession, gas lines and energy shortages going on.

There's zero chance of impeachment, unless the GOP takes massive losses in the midterms...

According to one conspiracy theory, Comey sends a memo to himself, leaks it, and a legal technicality allows Hillary to be prosecuted, without a conflict of interests.
