I have a job working in a blood bank. I had done it many years ago, and have been not gainfully employed for a long time. I live with my parents and so part-time and seasonal jobs got me by.

I had left the first job 11 years ago, and to this day can remember mostly everything from the job and with incredibly detail. This is obviously an interest to me, and I'm glad I found my way back into it.

I was wondering if anyone has or does work in a setting like this?

I've been trying to get a job as a phlebotomist or something similar. What are the interactions with the patients usually like for you?

I don't work with patients really. I see a lot of people at the hospitals and in the labs and other areas.

Phlebotomy is 100% direct patient related. There is a lot more interaction.

I don't mind that. I was never really interested in venipuncture. I like the lab setting more.

I'm going to be a med lab tech in the future and was wondering about others experiences.
