Like with most people I don't have many if any feelings regarding Putin. I neither see him as being all that much of a good guy or all that much of a bad guy.

It seemed to me that he pretty effectively shot down Kelly's questions and I thought he conducted himself quite well. It seems to me like if you could read his mind, it would be saying "I can't believe this level of nonsense, what a bunch of idiots". It seems like Kelly basically did a great job of assisting him in debunking the accusations.

I believe most of the sensationalism and hysteria regarding both Putin and Trump and the "Russiagate" conspiracy will die out over time. As the saying goes, the candle that burns twice as bright only lasts half as long. Add to that it also burning at both ends.

You didn't have to read his mind, his words were clear enough.

What I find interesting (and I'm sure my psychiatrist will as well) is that Kelly was granted the interview. Kelly and Trump have history and I wonder if this is a reason that Putin chose to meet with her.

I think what a person is saying in what they are thinking is in contradiction when they are attempting a cover up. But I think with Putin it didn't seem anything like that. "This is a load of crap" is what seemed to be genuinely going on in his mind. That's my take on it. Not that I really care all that much.

In my first post I was going to make a sarcastic joke like, golly I guess this must mean Kelly is secretly working for Putin. Did he pay her off? Does he have dirty filthy kompromat on her? Was she switched with a Russian agent lookalike?

Kelly was also over there to moderate a panel with Putin, the Prime Minister of India, Prime Minister of Austria, and President Moldova. Guess he decided to give her a 1 on 1.

Megyn Kelly is spunky. I'm glad she has her own show.

I saw that. The prime minister of India couldn't stop laughing at Kelly's questions and Putin's responces. I wonder how much of the rest of the world is laughing at the US over this fiasco.

What did anybody WANT Putin to do. He's a seasoned veteran at this sort of thing.

It's sort of like Trump ADMITTING that he ripped off all those people who attended "Trump University."

I don't get the analogy.

Neither Trump, nor Putin, want to "implicate" themselves (should there be something to implicate themselves with) when either are formally interviewed

Or maybe both are sincere in what they say when formally interviewed.

What I'm saying: Both would say similar things if interviewed, whether there are "skeletons" in their closet, or no "skeletons."

Therefore, the "meaning" of what they say must be divined through other means other than a mere analysis of their statements.

With his KGB background Putin is a master in knowing how to read people, use words to gain an objective, use misinformation to hide his objective.

That is why I am skeptical that he is autistic.

To me, Putin possesses an element of "amorality."

Or "selective morality."

He's almost the "Anti-Aspie" in some sense.

She is quite good. She wasted far too many years at Fox.
