Search option for own posts????????????

How do you search for your own threads?

Do you use the search function or wade through all the spam....................?

The best, most efficient way is to search your own previous posts is to do it exactly the same way you search for some other person on WP's posts.


Step one: find a thread in which you recently posted.

Step two: find your own post in that thread.

Step three. Go to that post and click on your own profile (as if you were a second person looking up your profile).

Step four: find the link in your profile that says "this person's previous posts", and click that.

And viola: there will be all of your posts, and in reverse chronological order.


You can go to your account, and you will see "view your posts". You also see that in this very window for posting replies. But that link doesn't do what it promises. It just shows EVERYONE's recent posts. So its not an efficient way to find just your own recent posts. So you have to paw through hundreds of everyone else's posts to find your own.

Click the blue link for "Search user's posts" under the number of Total posts.

There's also the "View your posts" option

search.php?search_id=egosearch

I already described that above. An explained how it doesn't work.

It does work, it just shows all the threads you have posted on and it lets you see if others have posted since.
