Haha.... yeah, I also thought this thread was going to cover a clumsily risque pick-up overheard in a bar.

I tend to notice that many aspie guys look very similar to one another. For whatever reason, the ladies seem slightly more varied in facial structure.

Jeez. So wishing I hadn't put "literally" on there.

I wonder what it is about the "autistic look". Maybe our eyes focus on a point closer to our faces. Maybe we look more haunted, or always deep in thought, with almost tired eyes. Maybe the facial expression itself is a very subdued thing. There are rarely huge bright social grins on autistic people's faces. Our expressions are muted but somehow intense. It's like we're living inside our own minds when other people live inside each other's minds, and it really shows on our faces.

I think we often have a look of childlike innocence.

I always grin like a bloomin idiot, but it's because I never know what's going on, and I find that amusing at times.

Ditto.

There's the reality we all see, and there's the one going on in my head.

Maybe it's our 'mind's eye' or '3rd eye' ???

Is that because you think life is all a big game?

lol, I dunno... sometimes it feels like it, to be honest, lol. I just kind of sit there, in my own little world, nodding to ridiculous things and agreeing while staring off into space, grinning so that no one really notices at first that I'm not paying any attention at all, lol.

People lately really like to screw with me, as they're figuring out I'm generally confused, and what I get confused about. My bf tonight said something about a tree being a good tree (I was staring at a bird-semi listening), and he said "it takes the dog for a walk and greets the neighbors" and I just smiled and nodded, and sat there. It took me 10 minutes to realize what he said, and until that point I was in and out of trying to figure out who he meant was walking their dog, and I was confused because they don't even have a dog.
