Who here likes dark humor?

If so, is this is an AS thing?

No.

Yes I have the same sense of humour as most people here. I often laugh at situations I make up in my mind while around other people and they can never figure out what's so damn funny.

This is just one of the things I consider a classic, been around for ages now :) :

I was also rather amused by all the hate mail the guy who made salad fingers recieved for his animation "The Milkman". And no I am not going to link to it :P

Can't say as I get off on dead baby jokes or any mortal misfortune. But I love dark humor, yeah. Do the Evil Dead movies count? Love 'em.

I know this is going to sound horrible and really mean... but I used to do a fake blog posing as a guy with turettes who was also born without fingers and used a dictation program to write his blog...

I’m kinder and gentler now. Honest.

That says it all.
Yes that's very good.

Also I think that the tarantino stuff is really humorous, though it takes a particular sense of humor and probably doesn't appeal to everybody: Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Res. Dogs.

Personally, I worry about having a dark sense of humor.

Laughing at other peoples misfortunes helps me to forget all about my own. Which is why I spend so much time on here.

Laughing became an involuntary reflex when our brains became so complex that a mistake could send us into extreme reactions. The literal meaning of a laugh is "This alarming situation is not dangerous (to me, now.)" It serves to quell hostile reactions to the original stimulus. Sometimes it also reveals truths that are too rude to introduce any other way.

I really don't like dark humor. I'm not always above it, but I have too much empathy for people and other living things that suffered and died horrifically or have been in some great tragedy. I'm lucky I can make a joke about the Titanic, even though that was a long time ago and I no longer have to worry that a survivor will hear it and be offended.

Unlike poor old Fozzie Bear. :)

I like more than one sense of humor, but dark humor is among my favorites. There are jokes I don't find funny but I have never been offended by a joke, and I have yet to see a topic I personally think should be off-topic.

I heard someone once say that the simpsons is considered dark humor but I'm not sure whether it is or not. Anyway I can definitely say I have a messed up sense of humor at times.

I was talking to a friend about a mutual friend who had died unexpectedly. He was a merry type who deserved a wake, so I made a slightly dark joke about what had happened to him, and lost the living friend too.

Scripted jokes out of a book bore me to no end, dark or not. There were several book series out back in the 80s called "Truly Tasteless Jokes," "Gross Jokes," and the like. Most of them were old and pretty stupid and some were plain disgusting.

I don't like "jokes" involving violence, general inhumanity, cruelty to animals and any joke about the supposed stupidity of certain ethnic groups.

My sense of humour is so dark light cannot escape.

My sense of humor is so dark that when I touch my hands turn black.
