Youtube embed option not working

Blank Space instead of an embedded youtube video. Same on IMAC, IPAD, Firefox, Chrome, Safari AD Blocker on or off. Clear history does not help.

I'm getting the same when the 'HTTPS Everywhere' addon is enabled in Chrome and Firefox. Your experience may be related to this, perhaps?

When I disabled this feature the embed was back. So we have choose between basic security and the using youtube videos. Fix one thing break another, typical WP

The issue is that the site is trying to load http://youtube instead of https://youtube when it embeds the videos and the unencrypted youtube won't display on https. I tried to fix it but for some reason, my changes didn't actually modify what is happening so I may be looking at a wrong section of code that isn't actually being used.

Hilarious video though! On another note, why not spend some of the WP revenue on an exceptional external developer to get the bugs off your back? I don't want to attack you with this, because i can totally understand if you feel it's your baby and you actually have fun looking into these issues. It's just that would have been my way to go. Let's assume fixing all bugs and fixing new ones quickly amounts to +25% site views due to more activity of current users and a higher conversion of new site visitors. I know that might be an unrealistically high estimate, but I am assuming this for the sake of argument. Then who knows, the improvements may just pay for themselves. I would love to hear what you were thinking or what your plans are/were. All the best
