Last year I took a political spectrum test and I discovered that I was not a Republican. Instead, I side mostly with the Constitution Party: the party of Integrity, Liberty, and Prosperity! The platform of the party includes a pro-life stance on abortion, a pro-traditional marriage stance on the legalization of homosexual marriage, an opposition to gun control in any form, the abolition of the NSA, the abolition of warrantless dragnet surveillance, the abolition of the PATRIOT Act, and the abolition of the taxation of income via repealing the 16th Amendment. The only stance I disagree with is the abolition of the 17th Amendment which would return the power to elect Senators to the states. The entire platform can be found here: https://www.constitutionparty.com/asset ... atform.pdf

This thread looks like it's going to die, so I'll give my two cents.

The Constitution Party has admirable foreign policy goals ... but are they trying to restrict lobbying? You need to recognize the source of America's crappy foreign policy if you want to make any real changes.

Additionally, the name "Constitution Party" is rather pretentious. First of all, the authors of the constitution were flawed human beings. They weren't perfect. Sometimes you have to directly contradict the constitution in the name of self-interest.

Second, the constitution can be changed. That's what amendments are for.

Third, do you have any proof that the US constitution forbids same-sex marriage?

Overall, the Constitution Party seems like a bunch of people who understand that hyper-aggressive foreign policy is dangerous ... but they still suffer from false consciousness and religious nuttery. We must understand that the problems in the government come from lobbyists. What if there was no lobbying? Everyone would truly get one vote. The government would truly represent the will of the people.

According to recent polls, most Americans agree with same-sex marriage. Thus, the Constitution Party does not represent the will of the American people.

What more can I say? Most people don't want to live in a capitalist theocracy, even if the theocrats understand diplomacy.

No, but I'm a member of the Prohibition Party.

And I find it interesting to see people on this site from various minor parties.

Wow. The Prohibition Party is still a thing.

They seem to have a few good positions. They respect the environment and want to give away free tertiary education.

Of course, I doubt that the American people want more theocracy.

Furthermore, outlawing dangerous drugs doesn't work. I doesn't work because poverty is the real source of drug abuse. Poor people will naturally abuse drugs even if drugs are illegal.

Why?

People in that party like Jack Fellure are some of the most regressive people in American politics. He supports criminalizing homosexuality, and blames, draft dodgers, liberals, sex addicts and atheists for all the ills of society. Some insane viewpoints to be sure.

Voted Castle for President in 2016. Not a registered member. I think I like them more than the Republican Party from what I've read about them.
