Legendary horror film director, George Romero, best known for unleashing the zombie craze on the world, has died at age 77, after a bout with lung cancer.
His initial movie, Night Of The Living Dead, is considered revolutionary because the lead character is a black man, who all other characters respond to not as a black man, but just as a man.
RIP... till you rise again!

The 1990 color remake (directed by Tom Savini, but produced by Romero) also changed the female lead from a mindless passive scream queen, into a much more strong, decisive character.

And yet, even though I've seen the remake, I actually prefer the original.
