Socializing is just entertaining other people

When I was 8 years old, I used to go around telling people I knew all the capitals in the world, and that I wanted to prove it. I wanted them to ask me the capitals of all the countries.

I always bore my mom to death telling her to ask me questions about ASD. I just want to share my stockpile of knowledge

My mother was very distant from me. She had no idea how to play with kids. She had various traumas growing up.

Man...I wish I had a girl like her.....

I'm going to be honest. It was partially my fault. I think there were times when she would try to be affectionate with me---but I just wasn't into that sort of thing.

She really had no idea how to play with kids.

HER mother was quite mean to her, and was abusive.

It's ok- I'm hardly ever affectionate with anybody I know (expressing affection is not my forte). I love my family and friends, but it's like I can't tell them .

I hope I didn't come across as offensive- that was not my intention.

I know. You are a person of excellent intentions.

I hope you can tell your family you love them some day. They would like that.

I hate people who take advantage of people.

Because true affection is such an intense emotion---and people with ASD's tend to have trouble expressing intense emotions "properly." They like to show their affection through their actions.

I get it. Sometimes I wish I had "normal" emotions, though .
