Glade plug-ins. The smell is a bit too strong for me.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1_7URgbkBA The dog is saying "plug it in, plug it in" in this commercial.

I remember those commercials. I laughed at them.

That jingle is actually based off a song with the lyrics "Rub it in, rub it in". My parents had it on a record when I was really young.

For years it has really bugged me when people hear a jingle for an ad and are clueless that they ripped it off an actual song, even if it's a more obscure one. Must be great being a jingle writer, not having to come up with your own original tunes or lyrics, as long as there's no copyright issues involved.

Even so, I used to like the one with the gargoyle figure.

Saw those ads a billion times when I was kid. Never gave that slogan a second thought. Not until just now when you brought it up.

Thinking about it now it sounds like some kind of sexual innuendo. "Plug it in, plug it in".

Like those ads for cigarettes back in the pre 1970 era when they allowed cigarette ads: "It's what's up front that counts".

Just you try to keep your mind out of the gutter...

Almond Joy/Mounds: Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don’t.

AT&T: Reach out and touch someone.

Burger King: Have it your way.

Campari: The first time is never the best.

Campbell’s: M’m M’m Good.

Credit Card: Takes the waiting out of wanting.

Energizer: It keeps going, and going, and going...

Gatorade: Is it in you?

Gillette: The best a man can get.

KFC: Finger-lickin’ good!

Lay's Potato Chips: Betcha can't eat just one!

M&M’s: Melts in your mouth – not in your hands.

Maxwell House: Good to the last drop

Maxwell House: Tastes as good as it smells.

Nike: Just do it!

Timex: Takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Toyota: Oh what a feeling.

Wendy’s: Do what tastes right.

White Castle: What you crave.

Yellow Pages: Let your fingers do the walking.

... Hey! I didn't create them! I just report them!

Then you'll have the opposite, I would listen to the Hoover commerical "Nobody does it like you" and think they ripped that off a Carpernters song or something but turns out to be original.

Huh? Are you talking about this song ("Nobody does it Better")?
