Public smoking is banned pretty much everywhere in Canada. Smokers can whine all they want (if their lungs aren't damaged enough to prevent them to), but I'm glad that my mother and I can go to places and not worry the smoke will trigger her allergies and asthma, along with all the long-term damage it can give us both.

Yes, I can remember the days when I used to go out to a club or pub and come home reeking of other people's smoke.
